General guidance
Florida humidity and sewing fabric
Sewing notes often assume a dry room. Here, cotton clings, interfacing softens, and a layout that looked square can drift before you pin.
What wet air changes
Fabric absorbs moisture. Cuts can creep. Pins leave marks longer on damp cloth. A sealed bag for cut pieces overnight is ordinary practice in this climate — not a product claim.
Thread and tension
Thread that sat open can snarl more when the room is muggy. Close the spool, and re-check tension after a humid day rather than blaming the machine first.
